**ALL SUBMITTERS MUST COMPLETE THE ENTRY/TICKET INFORMATION ABOVE!**

What if I want to pay with a check?

You must still select your ticket (entry type) and select "Show other payment options" to pay by check. Checks should be made payable to "STC Rochester." Follow the instructions on the Pay By Check screen.

Which ticket/fee do I pay if I have more than one author?

One entry can have multiple contributors (authors). If contributors to an entry fall into multiple categories, the lowest entry fee applies.

For example, if one contributor is a member of STC Rochester and the other contributor is not a member of STC, the STC Rochester fee applies.

What if I am submitting more than one entry?

As long as the entries fall into the same pricing category, you can select multiple quantities for the ticket (entries).

How do I get the Early Bird discount?

The Early Bird discount ($15) is applied to entries received by 11:55 pm on October 7, 2011. The discount is already included in the ticket prices.

Entries received between October 8 and October 21 at 6:00 pm are not eligible for the discount.

STC Rochester Council

Founded in 1958, the Rochester Chapter of the Society for Technical Communication is based in upstate New York. Although most of our members live and work in the metropolitan Rochester area, we are geographically diverse, with members living in several surrounding counties. STC-Rochester serves the needs of its members by:

- Promoting professionalism and the exchange of information among its members

- Providing educational opportunities for both members and non-members

- Educating the community on the value of technical communication

Our membership includes writers, editors, graphic designers, business owners, managers of corporate publications department, educators, and students. With more than 8,000 members worldwide, STC is the largest professional organization devoted to the advancement of the theory and practice of technical communication.

Our members provide a wide range of technical communications services within a variety of industries, such as computer hardware and software, photographic imaging, medicine and health care, telecommunications, community service, and education.

In April 2009, we celebrated the 50th anniversary of our chapter’s technical communication conference, spectrum, the longest running of its kind in the area.
